Cisco Systems has prepared a new router designed to handle the data load demand is high. Cisco Systems claims that the ASR 9000 Series will become a network, capable of streaming data on a large scale, the IP networks to handle tasks such as streaming high-definition video. ASR 9000 is designed to provide aggregation services router to the network system has been built in the CRS-1 routing previously. Same with the CRS-1, the ASR 9000 is also designed for speed and efficiency manambah for HD video streaming and data load other high-demand. Cisco claims that this router ASR 9000 data transfer speeds up to 100Mbit / s and has a capacity for 1.2 million HD video streaming in the same time. "Platform router is designed for IP network transformation and will be used as a carrier Ethernet transport foundation for the growth of video and data mobility. Broadcom Launches Combo Chip 802.11n
Broadcom has released a combination of wireless chips that support the latest 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and FM Radio. Broadcom claims called BCM4329 chip is able to provide price, size, power and performance benefits significantly from the implementation of the Semiconductor different, making the chip is powerful enough to be used in electronic goods. Most devices Manufactur prefer a combination of communications chip that small, simple, but you have a power efficient and certainly have the antenna.
BCM4329 chip is part of a Broadcom chip combination will be introduced every 60 days, starting next month, and is one of the industry's first 802.11n offering support for mobile devices. Broadcom said that the chip also has a FM transmits and receive, facilitate the user to listen to the radio station or streaming music directly from the personal media player or mobile phone to the car stereo system or the cinema without having to buy a special adapter or cable that much.
"Manufacturing is very interested in the handset with the 802.11n wireless network, but Broadcom is seeking to incorporate a single antenna the size and power. BCM4329 chip is another example of industry that has a combination of Broadcom, not just one technology for all, but also to integrate the right mix of technology for the right application. "Said Chris Berge, director units Embedded WLAN Broadcom.
Broadcom claims that the BCM4329 chip industry is the smallest and cheapest system with dual-band 802.11n, which makes it easy Wi-Fi users to access the 5GHz spectrum for a packed media applications that ask for bandwidth and fast bergaransi. Chip BCM4329 planned to be produced at the beginning of the full year 2009. Launch sample chip BCM4329 is the combination of host controller interface Broadcom months ago in October, which combines Bluetooth and FM Radio in a single chip.
Memory Chip Transparent, stand Up to 10 Years
A group of South Korean scientist has created a memory chip is a transparent non-volatile, which can be applied in computer and other devices. The team that diketuai by Park Jae-woo and Lim Koeng-su in Daejeon, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, revealed that TRRAM (Transparent Resistive Random Access Memory) will extend the use of metal oxide Semiconductor (CMOS).
CMOS chips have been widely used in memory storage devices, USB, and continue to be developed to create a microprocessor, microcontroller, and various types of digital logic circuits. TRRAM oxide film is made using transparent electrode and the circuit board through a plastic or glass. The new memory chip is able to survive in the operation for 10 years.
Park argued that the commercial production of memory chips transparent will start three to four years, if companies want to invest in the manufacturing process. According to Park, the memory chip TRRAM this will open a new phase in the development of electronic devices and machines. RAM design is very simple, consisting of oxide film and the electrode in the glass or plastic, also the same as for pembuatannya CMOS chip.
New Quad-Core AMD and Intel Chips Surface
Computer chip makers Intel and AMD are ending 2008 with a quad-core bang. Intel has a new mobile processor - the Intel Core 2 Quad Mobile Processor Q9000 - that is being hyped by Acer in its just announced Acer laptop. AMD reportedly already has its upcoming Phenom II processors popping up online for pre-orders to consumers. The catch, neither AMD or Intel have made official announcements about either chips - yet.
The Intel Core 2 Quad Mobile Processor Q9000 is at the heart of Acer's new Aspire 8930G-7665 notebook PC. This latest quad core processor is running inside this laptop with 12MB of shared L2 cache, a 1066 MHz front side bus and a clock speed rate upwards of 2.53 GHz.
The Acer notebook, besides the Q9000 processor, has respectable features such as an 18.4-inch LCD, 4GB of DDR3 memory, a NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT graphics set and a 500GB SATA hard drive. The 8930G-7665 is said to be available now for around $1,800.
Intel, besides putting forth the Q9000, is also said to have released four other mobile processors. This comes as AMD is getting ready to publicly debut its new quad-core Phenom II processors at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show. The new AMD processor, which some retailers already have available for pre-orders, will run at speeds up to 3GHz and includes an 8MB cache.

Released Chip Dual AMD Quad-Core Athlon X2
AMD re-create new stories, the family K10 become the spearhead of AMD in the last few years. AMD announced two of its product, Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition and Athlon X2 7550. Both the new CPU can run at speeds respective 2.7GHz and 2.5GHz.
They also carry 2MB L3 and based K10 (Barcelona / Phenom). According to AMD, both dual core is not derived from the quad-core, but they quad-core. Evidence that they actually quad-core chip is the x4 Phenom (Agena), Phenom X3 (Toliman), and the Athlon 7000 serie share the new place each 283mm2. Athlon X2 processor 7000 also has a quad-core chip with a chip in the two-disable. Athlon X2 7750 is priced at $ 79, that is able to compete with the powerful Intel.
The test for both types of chip processor more impact from long use by the user, and will also depend on what program to use, but may be user should re-review me a second chip, the comparison to decide which is better, between AMD and Intel to The new processor chip. To Phenom chip, save more power consumption than previous familiy K8 performance or the same product from Intel. AMD Athlon X2 not plan for 7550 is focused in Shanghai, in the first quarter 2009.
LG-GD910
LG may not known as a company that created the form of a mobile phone that is not familiar. However, all that can now be changed, as LG has started to create debutnya wristwatch 3G for the first time, in the form of LG-GD910. The form of mobile phone wristwatch-GD910 LG may not be too good, but mobile phone imut has full function mobile phone that can support even with a video call.
LG-GD910 to appear in public in January at the CES (Electronics Show) in 2009. LG mobile phone-GD910, would fit in the hand, slim, and have only 13.9mm thick, and features inch LCD touchscreen 1:43. Details about the LG mobile phone watch-GD910 aan presented at CES 2009, including the connection 3G, HSDPA, Bluetooth, text-to-speech, speech-to-text and video conference via the front of the camera phone in hand this day.

Or if you do not want to walk with watches as FBI agents, it can use a Bluetooth headset. Or if you want to play detective, can use the video conference. However, there is a problem with the size of the phone watch this, unless the user is a child's hand or have a small finger.
Gateway FX6800-01e
create by joel santo domingo
The Gateway FX6800-01e ($1,249.99 list) is clearly going after the gamer on a budget. It's a bit more expensive than sub-$800 gaming boxes like the , but the FX6800-01e can play today's games a whole lot better. There are a few tremendous innovations in the FX6800-01e, and its performance is stellar for its price. A couple of niggling details keep it from besting the $2,000 gaming PCs, but if you're someone who upgrades by buying a whole new system every few years, the FX6800-01e will rock your world.
The FX6800-01e is equipped with one of the new Intel Core i7-920 processors, a quad-core processor with Hyper-Threading technology. In practice, this means that the i7-920 is capable of processing up to eight streams simultaneously, a plus when you're doing multimedia work or playing multithreaded games when they are available (games are only now just starting to support dual-thread; future games will be much more multithreaded). The Core i7 family is Intel's latest set of CPUs, with the second iteration of 45nm technology (code-named Nehalem). Along with the Core i7-920, the FX6800-01e is equipped with a single 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card. The Radeon 4850 is ATI's most recent mainstream gaming card, so both the CPU and graphics card can be considered "gaming/performance oriented.
The system has the same chassis as the Gateway XL series, but in a different color (silver and blue as opposed to orange with bronze accents). The FX6800-01e's chassis includes a pair of externally accessible hard-drive sleds, so you can easily add up to two SATA hard drives without opening the side door. This innovative feature (unique among the cheaper gaming PCs) is similar to the hard-drive compartment in the $2,199 Acer Aspire G7700 Predator. Both have access to the outside, though the Predator holds the C: drive in one of its three sleds, while the FX6800-01e's C: drive is inside the chassis. There's also space inside for one additional hard drive, though you'll have to open the case to get to that one. You can also fit another optical drive, a PCIe x4 card, another PCIe x16 graphics card, and three more RAM sticks inside the case. As with the Predator, you can set up RAID 0, 1, 5, and 1+0 with multiple hard drives. Just make sure to use identical hard drives if you do.
The sleds themselves feel a bit flimsier than the ones in the Predator (or the internal sleds on the HP Blackbird 002 Exhilaration Edition—the best ones out there so far), but they'll do the job. I wish there were a better locking mechanism for the drives as well: There's a slide-down door on the front panel, but I like the security of locking sleds in case you need to move the system. Since I'm nit-picking, the hide-away pop-up panels for the media card reader, USB, and FireWire ports in the front and on top of the case also feel a bit cheap. The quality of plastics and doors seems to be where Gateway has cut a few corners. Again, functionality is excellent; there are just a few cost-saving measures that are readily apparent in a hands-on evaluation.
One last nit relates to the OS: Why install 64-bit Vista when the system comes with only 3GB of memory? Any benefits of 64-bit don't come into play until you have more than 4GB for RAM. I guess Gateway put Vista 64-bit on the FX6800-01E on the assumption that you'll add another 3GB to the system at some future point.
Like other Gateway computers, the FX6800-01e has some crapware on it. There's the usual 60-day trial of Microsoft Office and the 60-day trial of Norton 360. There's other stuff, like ads for eBay, Napster, and ISPs, too. I just wish there were a way to reinstall Vista without also installing all the superfluous programs. That's the best solution for a gaming box, since new graphics drivers and extra files associated with games can often make the system unstable. The best way to play a new game on an unstable gaming system is to wipe the system to bare-bones Windows, without all the performance-robbing extras.
Along with very good functionality, the system offers performance that's excellent for the price. The FX6800-01e can hold the "Can Play Crysis" banner high. Thanks to the Core i7 processor and Radeon graphics, the FX6800-01E gets a smoothly playable 58 fps on Crysis at 1,280-by-1,024, and a very smooth 76 fps on World in Conflict at the same resolution. This performance is similar to or better than that of the iBuypower Paladin 998 and the Acer Aspire G7700 Predator, both of which cost over $700 more. Out of these three, the Paladin is the only one that can play WiC at 1,920-by-1,200, and none of the three can play Crysis smoothly at that high a resolution.
The FX6800-01E is also very speedy at multimedia tasks: 37 seconds for Windows Media Encoder and 26 seconds for Photoshop are impressive even for a quad-core system. All this makes FX6800-01e a performance bargain.
Basically, the FX6800-01e provides enough gaming power for the serious gamer, with a little bit of headroom to expand and improve 3D performance. The more expensive Paladin 998 and Predator also have enough gaming chops, and they both have a lot more room for expansion. Buy the Paladin if you have the extra $700 to spare and like to tinker and improve your gaming by buying and installing more components. Buy the Gateway FX6800-01e if you're the type who improves performance by buying a new gaming system a few years down the road, and recycles by giving the old system to your younger sibling.
Lenovo ThinkPad X301
What's the most expensive laptop you can buy—other than that million-dollar, diamond-studded laptop that Luvaglio announced last year? You could trick out the Apple MacBook Pro 17-inch and end up with $3,000 worth of goods. Many gaming laptops, such as the Alienware Area-51 m15x, push price as well as performance into the stratosphere. But when it comes to ultraportables, the honors go to the Lenovo ThinkPad X301. The recently released update to the ThinkPad X300 hasn't created quite the stir that the first-generation model (which, like the Apple MacBook Air, fits inside a manila envelope) managed to arouse, but it did receive a handful of new technologies. It now has a built-in DisplayPort for compatible displays, such as the Dell UltraSharp 2408wfp, that are trickling into the marketplace; a bigger, 128GB SSD drive option; and new Intel Centrino 2 parts, inching it closer, performance-wise, to its rivals, the MacBook Air and the Voodoo Envy 133.
The X301 is part of an elite group of ultraportables known for 13-inch widescreens and lusciously thin yet fully functional designs. Its competitors, and some of the lightest systems in this class, are the MacBook Air and the Envy 133—they all range from 3 to 3.5 pounds.
The X301 might not be considered sexy at first glance, as its matte black frame isn't as trendy as either the 133's carbon-fiber frame or the MacBook Air's aluminum one. But sexy isn't solely a matter of looks. The 1-inch-thin X301 has the best keyboard of the three, and it's enhanced by dual pointing devices—a touchpad and an industry-leading pointing stick. Yet the typing experiences provided by the MacBook Air and the Envy 133 reflect a more forward-thinking approach to design. Both have backlit keyboards for low-light situations. The MacBook Air has a gesture-based touchpad that lets you pinch and expand photos, Word documents, and other types of files, while the Envy 133 has Voodoo Proximity, a feature that disables the cursor when both hands are placed on the palm rests or while you're typing. When it comes to the displays, it's hard to tell which 13-inch screen is brighter, as they all fare well in different lighting conditions. The X301's display has a slight advantage in quality, with a higher 1,440-by-900 resolution.
The X301 is more satisfying than the others when it comes to business features—and this is where it separates itself from the crowd. The 7mm-thin optical drive is the same one found on the Sony VAIO VGN-TZ150N and the Fujitsu LifeBook P8010. It's modular, too: You can unscrew the drive, pull it out, and replace it with an extra three-cell battery ($120). Neither the MacBook Air nor the Envy 133 has these features. One update to the X301 is its built-in DisplayPort, which is ideal for streaming digital content from your laptop to an external display that supports this technology. And you have an abundance of other connectivity options, including three USB ports, Ethernet, VGA-out, and a whole heap of wireless connections that cover Centrino 2 WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and WWAN through AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. The MacBook Air has only three ports total: a USB port, a headphone jack, and a mini-DVI out.
The other update is an option for a 128GB Samsung solid-state drive (SSD) ($400). This test configuration includes a 64GB one, which is nonetheless outrageously expensive compared with the 80GB spinning drives in the Air and the 133. Prices of SSDs, should start coming down since Intel recently launched its own SSDs—a second player in the SSD market creates competition. In the meantime, the SSD is the lone reason why the X301 is so expensive. And there are no options to outfit your model with a spinning drive.
You won't associate raw horsepower with the X301. Its new ultra-low-voltage (ULV) processor isn't as speedy as the standard-voltage ones found on the MacBook Air and the Envy 133. But because it's running on an Intel Centrino 2 platform, the new processor takes advantage of the fast (1,066-MHz) front-side bus (FSB), up-to-date integrated graphics, and 2GB of DDR3 memory. It won't be long before the MacBook Air and the Envy 133 move to faster parts as well, presumably sticking with standard voltage.
Despite running a slower processor, the X301 bested the MacBook Air and the Envy 133, as expected, in SYSmark 2007 Preview tests. SYSmark simulates real-life workloads, so it does a better job of accounting for the sum of a laptop's parts than, say, a video-encoding test, which mostly taxes the processor. In the X301's case, the SSD drive and a fast together enabled the X301 to surpass the Envy by 22 percent and the Air by 33 percent. The X301 outperformed its predecessor by a modest 7 percent in its SYSmark Overall score. In video-encoding tests, it trailed the Envy 133 by 8 percent. I found it odd that the MacBook Air, using the same processor as the 133, couldn't outperform the X301 in more of these tests.
The X301 easily outshined its rivals on our battery life tests, thanks to its low-powered processor. The 43-Wh battery produced a MobileMark 2007 score of 3 hours 44 minutes. Removing the optical drive and replacing it with the extra 3-cell battery boosted its score to 5:37 on the same test. Both the MacBook Air and the Envy 133 hovered around the 3-hour mark, making them less attractive for long flights or commutes. At least with the Envy 133 you can pop out the battery and replace it with a fresh one; the MacBook Air's battery, unfortunately, is not user upgradable.
The X301 has all the same important environmental credentials as the X300, and now is even more energy efficient, with its lower-powered processor. It's EPEAT Gold and RoHS certified, which means it meets energy consumption as well as recycling requirements. The X301 also meets Energy Star Version 4.0 requirements, as I confirmed with a PS3 International Kill A Watt meter. After 15 minutes of idle time, the X301 consumed only 12W—2 watts less than the X300, the Air, and the Fujitsu LifeBook P8010. For this, it is GreenTech Approved.
You can blame the solid-state drive for pricing the exceptional Lenovo Thinkpad X301 out of the average working professional's range. Are there enough improvements (for the price) to warrant upgrading if you already have the X300? No. But for those willing to shell out the cash for the first time, the X301 retains the features we adore on the X300 (high-resolution 13-inch screen, ThinkPad keyboard, modular optical drive, connection options galore, GreenTech Approved seal) and adds to it a built-in DisplayPort and faster Intel Centrino 2 parts.

The Weirdest Tech of 2008
This year certainly had its fair share of thrilling tech products. For starters, we saw the highly anticipated launch of Google's Android mobile OS and the G1 phone; the gain in popularity of netbooks like the MSI Wind; the first digital-SLR to shoot HD video, the Nikon D90; the Apple MacBook Air, the thinnest laptop on the market; and RIM's innovative touch-screen BlackBerry Storm.
Unfortunately, 2008 also brought some heartaches and hardships. There was the layoff of 1,500 folks at Yahoo, Circuit City filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the unpopular changes to eBay accounts, the ongoing debate over Net neutrality, and, of course, the decision to close the print version of PC Magazine.
As I look back at 2008, however, these aren't the things that stick out in my mind. I, of course, reminisce about what was wacky and weird, like pig-shaped iPod docks, cell phone tripods, and personal lightning detectors. Hmm … it must be time for my annual top 10 list of the weirdest tech! Countdown with me, and have a happy New Year.
Speakal iPigAlthough awfully cute, there's something a bit peculiar about a pig-shaped iPod dock. The iPig ($129.99) from California-based Speakal features five speakers and a 4-inch subwoofer, producing a total output of 25 watts. The included remote control lets you browse through your iPod's music library and control the speakers' volume, bass, and treble levels. The iPig comes in three bright colors: white, pink, and yellow. Too bad it doesn't oink on command!
Outdoors Technologies StrikeAlertLightning is extremely dangerous and often deadly. In fact, Americans are twice as likely to die from being struck by lightning than from a hurricane, tornado, or flood, according to Outdoors Technologies. That's why the company designed the StrikeAlert, a personal lightning detector. With it, people can detect lightning strikes up to 40 miles away, and an audible alarm sounds if a storm is approaching or departing, accompanied by different LED lights corresponding to the distance of the storm. The battery-operated device is shaped like a small pager and can be clipped on a belt loop. Detect lightning for $69 on WeatherShop.com.

Windows 7 beta leaks to Internet
December 27, 2008 (Computerworld) Pirated copies of a Windows 7 build pegged by many as the beta Microsoft Corp. will release next month have been leaked to the Internet, according to searches at several BitTorrent sites today.
A search on the Pirate Bay BitTorrent site, for example, returned two Windows 7 Build 7000 listings, both of which had been posted Friday. As of Saturday afternoon, one torrent on Pirate Bay showed more than 1,800 "seeders" -- the term for a computer that has a complete copy of the torrent file -- and about 8,500 "leechers," or computers that have downloaded only part of the complete torrent. The torrent is a disk image of the 32-bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate, Build 7000, according to users commenting on the site and elsewhere on the Internet. Pirate Bay and other BitTorrent sites, including Mininova, listed the beta build as a 2.44GB download.
This is not the first time Windows 7 has escaped from Microsoft's limited testing pool. Just hours after the company unveiled an earlier version at its Professional Developers Conference in late October, the alpha edition hit BitTorrent.
Users first reported the newest Windows 7 leak on Neowin.net's forums Friday, with the opening message and screenshots coming from someone identified as "+fivestarVIP," who said he was from Beijing.Build 7000 is what Microsoft will issue next month as Windows 7 Beta, according to other reports by Windows bloggers who have copies. Paul Thurrott, for example, posted a review and screenshots of Build 7000 today on his "SuperSite for Windows" site, naming it as the beta build. Although Microsoft has promised to open the beta to all users in early 2009, the company has been mum on an exact release date. Information published on its own Web site earlier this month, however, hinted that the beta will be available no later than Jan. 13. Some commentators and bloggers have maintained that Microsoft may release the beta as early as Jan. 7, after CEO Steve Ballmer delivers a keynote that evening at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where he is expected to talk about Windows 7.
The successor to the perception- and problem-plagued Windows Vista will ship in late 2009 or early 2010, according to previous statements by Microsoft executives.
